I am an American expat working and living in Prague for almost two years. I am currently employed at a Montessori preschool, and getting my training to be a fully certified Montessori teacher. My interest in voice acting goes all the way back to the second grade, when I learned how to change my voice to make other people laugh, and I've been experimenting with it ever since.
I am reading the Harry Potter books aloud and employing the appropriate voices for each character (i.e. strict Scottish woman's voice for Professor McGonagall, deep mystical voice for Professor Trelawney, rough, but fatherly voice for Sirius Black, etc.). I also read children's books aloud in my current job, and use different voices that the children find interesting, usually exaggerated or goofy voices. Additionally, I enjoy making different voices, and I often try to mimic people or characters that I hear in shows and movies to play with their sounds. Musically speaking, I sing bass with my family barbershop when I visit them in the US, and I sing children's songs at school.
